Charming old venue, outstanding food, perfect location to the music venue. Location near restaurant and bar as well as middle England. Top quality & nicely decorated room with a good breakfast.
Wi-Fi was very poor.

The proprietors and their staff were friendly, helpful and polite throughout our visit. The old world ambiance of the hotel added to the enjoyment of our stay. The food was good both in terms of quantity and quality. The room was "unique" in terms of it's position, large size and shape. However, it was clean an quiet and a pleasure to stay in.

Good location for getting to Oxford or Banbury. Very pleasant stay.
Took a while to get hot water in the morning and also the drain in the bathroom sink empties very slowly. However, these were minor things and we would stay at this hotel again should we be in the area at some other date.

No details of room given on booking. Room was in the attic with two steep and narrow staircases and numerous steps and corners to negotiate ! Hot water took ages to arrive.

It was just a commendable fit for a lightning stop in Banbury with value for money. The room was well-equipped with everything you'd want, including hot chocolate and a tiny biscuit. Just be prepared for noise at night. It might be better to ask about it upon arrival.

The room was very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. The food was of a high standard and the choice of evening meals was excellent. The bar kept a varied selection of ales and the wine we chose with the evening meals was very good. The staff were very helpful and attentive and made our stay very pleasurable. The location of the Red Lion was ideally situated for our visits to Waddesdon Manor and Upton House.
